About the project
Özel Eyüp Sultan Yeni Umutlar Anaokulu is a school that has been operating in Alibeyköy for 22 years and has educated more than 1,500 children.
The hard part
The decision-maker here isn’t the child but an anxious parent. And the questions parents ask aren’t emotional — they’re extremely concrete: who teaches, what is the building like, is there a shuttle service, how is safety handled, what does my child eat? Most preschool websites skip these questions and take refuge in general slogans about education.
Our approach
- We turned the parents’ questions into headings. Our school, our team, our departments, our shuttle service, our safety measures and the dining hall were each handled separately — concrete information instead of general promises.
- We gave safety its own section. Safety, the parent’s most critical concern, was positioned so it wouldn’t get lost among the other headings.
- We turned experience into evidence. The 22 years and the number of children educated were brought forward as the school’s own data.
- We made school life visible. Events, trips, values education and classroom photography made the question “what will my child actually do here?” concrete.
- We brought the introduction film forward. Video is the fastest way to convey a physical environment; it was given a prominent place in the flow.
The result
The result is a school site that answers the parent’s concrete questions one by one, and makes the school’s experience and physical environment visible.
